Subic Bay has become a priority site for infrastructure projects aimed at supporting the Philippines’ economic growth as the subject was underlined in a recent dialogue between the Southeast Asian country and the United States, according to a Philippine Daily Inquirer report. Subic Bay is a former US naval base in Zambales province, which became a free port after the Philippine Senate voted in 1991 to reject US bases in the country.
