The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has recently appointed two esteemed professors from Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) as conference ambassadors, raising the total number of “Macau Conference Ambassadors” to 26.
The two professors are Manson Fok (pictured, right), president of the University Hospital and dean of MUST’s Faculty of Medicine, recognised for his contributions in the field of big health, and Francis T. Lui, director of Development Economics and chair professor at the university’s School of Business, who is renowned for his expertise in economics.
The Macau Conference Ambassadors initiative aims to leverage the influence of leading figures and academic professionals across the major industries to highlight the SAR’s strengths in organising conventions and exhibitions, while also seeking to promote Macau’s image as a premier destination for MICE events, attracting more high-quality professional industry conferences to the city, as well as bringing international MICE business visitors to Macau, with the objective of broadening the city’s international connections and enhance its global reputation, according to IPIM.
