A Jetstar flight JQ34 carrying over 200 people from Bali to Melbourne was forced to return to Denpasar after a female passenger tried to open a plane door mid-flight about an hour into its journey on Monday night as the plane flew over the Indian Ocean, the Australian low-cost airline said in a statement on Tuesday.
The passenger was removed from the aircraft by local authorities in Bali and she has since been banned from flying with Jetstar.
The disruptive passenger was reported to be arguing over seating arrangements that quickly escalated leading to her forcing to open the plane door, triggering a warning alert to the flight crew, according to various media reports. – GNM
