The Macao University of Tourism (UTM), in partnership with the China Tourism Academy, hosted the “2025 High-level Forum on Greater Bay Area (GBA) Tourism Development” at The Venetian Macao on 25 April, on the sidelines of the 13th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo

The forum brought together over 150 government representatives, industry experts, academics and university students to strategise on elevating the GBA’s global appeal as a world-class culture and tourism destination, according to UTM. 

Among the prominent figures attending the forum were Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, China Tourism Academy Director of International Exchange and Finance Yang Jinsong, MGTO Deputy Director Cheng Wai Tong, Guangdong Provincial Travel Agency Association Vice President Li Xieju, Macao Hotel and Tourism Industry Association Vice President Dai Qing, as well as Trip.com Group Institute Executive Secretary-General Sun Bowen. – GNM
