Macau’s Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) has recently received and investigated a case of bribery involving a mainland Chinese PhD student at the University of Macau’s (UM) Faculty of Law, who allegedly attempted to offer bribes to his professor with the intention that his thesis proposal to be submitted prior to thesis writing would be passed and that he would graduate successfully. The case has now been referred to the Public Prosecutions Office, according to the CCAC.
