The “2024 Hong Kong-Macao Visual Art Biennale” kicked off at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing on 17 June.
Jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government, and the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macau SAR Government, the event is held at NCPA’s West Exhibition Hall until 13 July.
Furthermore, the event is presented by the Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Hong Kong SAR’s Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Macau SAR’s Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), as well as the China Arts and Entertainment Group Limited.
The event showcases the contemporary cultural and landscapes and artistic spirits of the three regions, with eight Macau artists participating in it, according to IC. – GNM
