The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) regularly organises its book swap activity, “Book for Book”, to promote a reading culture and habits in the community, as well as spread across the SAR the concept of “enriching life through reading”, with the next sessions scheduled to be held at Camões Square on today and tomorrow, Taipa’s Flower City area on 22-23 November and Lilau Square on 27-28 December.

Furthermore, the activity aims to establish a convenient book exchange platform to facilitate the sharing and circulation of unused good books from their personal collections and jointly develop a cultural atmosphere in the community, according to IC.

The activity will run from noon to 6 pm on each day. In Taipa, it will be held at the open space adjacent to the Flower City Park.

Participants simply bring books that meet the criteria of exchange to the personnel on-site for verification, select their favourite books and exchange them for the equivalent number of their books. Each participant will be able to exchange a maximum of 20 books in the event.

Meanwhile, exhibition panels from the Macao Public Library will also be set up at the same venues to allow residents to have a better understanding of the library resources and services. For more information about the activity visit the Macao Public Library’s website. – GNM
