The Temporary Leisure Area in Calçada do Bom Jesus is scheduled to be closed from tomorrow to undergo some improvement works that will take around 18 working days to complete, according to the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM).
The refurbishment project came after the leisure area was found to show multiple signs of aging and damage at multiple spots of its floor
IAM will start the improvement works tomorrow to resurface some cracked parts on the concrete floor and badminton court floor, as well as expand the tree pits in the leisure area to optimise the environment for tree growth.
Despite the schedule, the project’s exact duration may be longer due to weather or other reasons, the bureau has pointed out.
