Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai said on this year’s National Day that the prosperity of the motherland provided a strong foundation for Macau SAR’s development, according to a press release issued by the city’s Government Information Bureau (GCS).
As Macau makes headway with its contribution to the development of the country, the city will continue to break new ground for high-quality development of the “One country, two systems” principle, according to the bureau.
Furthermore, the Macau Government remains committed to the vision of a brighter future as it defines the city as “Law-based Macau”, “Vibrant Macau”, “Cultural Macau”, and “Blissful Macau”. The SAR will make new and greater contributions to the great cause of building a strong country and achieving national rejuvenation.
The chief executive made the remarks during a speech at a reception to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, which was hosted by the Macau SAR Government at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex in the morning of 1 October, which was attended by about 1,320 guests.
