Macau Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai recently said that the Portuguese community had consistently made significant contributions to the healthy development of various undertakings in the SAR, promising that the local government would continue to safeguard the multicultural characteristics of local society and promote various development initiatives. 

In addition, the government strives to enhance the well-being of all Macau residents, including the Portuguese community in Macau, Sam pointed out. 

The chief executive (made the remarks in his speech (pictured) during a reception held at Residence of Portuguese Consul-General in Macau, in celebration of the Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities – celebrated every 10 June. – GNM
