City of Dreams (COD) will present its inaugural “Star Chef Gourmet Extravaganza”, a culinary artistry with star chef, on 14 December, during which Executive Chef Angelo Wong from COD’s prestigious Black Pearl One Diamond restaurant Yi and Hong Kong singer Pakho Chau will collaborate for a spectacular seasonal banquet themed around fancy flower-themed food.
The event will highlight Chau’s culinary journey and guests will savour his food craftsmanship firsthand, according to COD.
Wong and Chau have drawn inspiration from the latter’s culinary performances in the TV drama “The Spectator” and the variety show “The PakhoBen Outdoor Show”, as well as the floral arrangements in coffee shops.
Using ingredients like Chinese yellow wine, peppercorns, sakura shrimps and romantic lavender ice cream – all of which feature the Chinese character for ‘flower’ – Wong and Chau have meticulously crafted a fancy ‘floral’ banquet, promising guests an evening filled with “style, creativity and ingenuity”.
In “The Spectator”, where Chau plays a coffee shop owner with hidden secrets, he once made ice cream on screen. On 14 December, he will recreate the iconic scene with his lavender ice cream, prepared using liquid nitrogen and paired with Chilled Bird’s Nest and Grape Panna Cotta.
Another highlight will be the Fried Mixed-Grains Rice with Sea Urchin and Fish Maw in Pickled Pepper Sauce, a twist on Chau’s specialty, sea urchin fried rice.
This culinary event will start at 7 pm on that night. The location is on the 21st floor of Morpheus. Price is MOP 3,288++ per person (minimum party of four, maximum of six). In addition, extra prices for additional wine pairing and/or additional tea pairing are MOP 888++ and MOP 268++, respectively, per person.
