After just around nine years since its launch in 2015, CNN Philippines is going off air for good soon after going through financial losses that have exceeded some P5 billion, with the shutdown’s official announcement scheduled to be made by CNN Philippines President Benjie Ramos on Monday, according to various media reports in the Philippines. About 300 employees will be affected by network owner and operator Nine Media Corp’s decision to give up the CNN franchise. (Wong Kin Ang)
