The distribution of 2023 Wealth Partaking Scheme that began on 4 July was completed on 4 August, with the Macau permanent residents receiving MOP 10,000 each, while every non-permanent resident ID holder received MOP 6,000. Around 548,000 beneficiaries received the cash handout via bank transfer, totalling some MOP 5.38 billion, while 188,000 crossed cheques – totalling MOP 1.85 billion – were mailed, according to the Financial Services Bureau.
