The eight existing leisure areas inside T’oi Sán and Ilha Verde district will be reorganised in phases after integrative analysis of the demographic structure in the district, with the space to be divided into functional zones, according to the city’s Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM).
The reorganisation work is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of this year, with the first project being the leisure area in Rua Central de T’oi Sán. The construction works are scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
Diverse play equipment and fitness enhancement equipment will be added to create leisure areas with novel themes and various characteristics. The quality of the greening work will also be improved for the provision of a comfortable and pleasant leisure space for the public, the bureau has pointed out.
Meanwhile, the construction works of the remaining seven leisure areas will also be launched in phases and in order, with the entire works expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027. Details on each of these leisure areas can be found on this link.
