Hong Kong legislator Edward Lau Kwok-fan from the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) party said recently that the neighbouring SAR should follow Macau’s border crossing system implemented at Hengqin and Qingmao checkpoints, which link Macau with Zhuhai with an all-in-one clearance called by authorities as “joint express inspection channels”, according to a report by South China Morning Post.
