Portugal Icons, comprising renowned Portuguese football legends that include Luis Figo, will have a friendly match with the GBA Flying Dragon at the Macau East Asian Games Dome in Cotai on 19 May.
The special match, entitled “In Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macau SAR: SJM Five-aside Football Friendly: Portugal Icons vs. GBA Flying Dragon”, is organised by SJM Resorts and co-organised by Macau’s Sports Bureau (ID)
Apart from Figo, the captain, the Portuguese team will include Nuno Gomes, Ricardo Quaresma, Tiago Mendes, Helder Postiga, Pauleta, Dimas, Maniche and Bosingwa, while the GBA Flying Dragon consists of football players from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong Star Football Team, according to a press conference held at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau in Cotai today.
The Greater Bay Area (GBA) team will include Natalis Chan, Chan Chi Hong, Eddie Ng, Frankie Lam, Eddie Cheung, Danny Chan, Leslie George Santos, Chan Tat Sun and Wu Qunli.
Meanwhile, today’s press conference was attended by Natalis Chan, Chan Chi Hong and SJM Managing Director Daisy Ho, among others.
