The 2025 Macao International Parade will be held on 23 March, celebrating the 26th anniversary of Macau’s return to the motherland, and a pre-event activity entitled “Community Arts Festival” is set to take place at Iao Hon Market Park and the Leisure Area of Edificio Lok Yeung Fa Yuen today. 

The 2025 Macao International Parade is jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and the SAR’s six integrated resort companies. The pre-event carnival is aimed at promoting culture and arts in the community and allowing the public to experience the charm of different cultures and arts, according to IC. 

The programmes at Iao Hon Market Park will begin at 2:30 pm, featuring Macau Anglican College Primary Percussion Ensemble (pictured) and the Macau Anglican College Primary Ministry Band, who will present music performances. In addition, the Macau Yogafly Aerial Yoga and Dance Association will showcase aerial yoga flows by using hoops and poles, highlighting the power of the arts in Macau as a “Culture City of East Asia”. 

Furthermore, Macau International Association of Oriental Dance will give a dance performance themed “Fairy Tale World of Hans Christian Andersen”. 

Meanwhile, at Edificio Lok Yeung Fa Yuen’s Leisure Area, from 4 pm to 5:30 pm, Grupo de Danças e Cantares de Macau will present dance, music and singing performances to promote Portuguese culture, while Macau FuLife Sports Club will give an array of exciting performances and interact with the public, sharing the passion and dynamism of life, allowing residents to experience the vitality of culture and arts. 

In addition, Santo Niño de Cebu in Macau Association will perform their traditional Filipino dance “Sinulog”. 

Upholding the spirit of “Love, Peace and Cultural Integration” while also promoting Macau’s designation as a “Culture City of East Asia 2025”, this year’s will mark the opening of the “Culture City of East Asia 2025” under the theme of “East-West Encounter, Asia in Harmony” in order to establish an international exchange platform and showcase the charm of Macau’s multicultural integration, creating a vital window for exchange and mutual understanding between Chinese and Western civilisations.

Next Sunday’s parade will feature a total of 23 artistic groups from 15 different countries and regions, who will join 60 local participating groups, totalling nearly 1,800 artists, including those representing Portugal, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Morocco, India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Polynesian region, Argentina, Egypt, Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR.
