Macau Art and Culture Creative Association will present an exhibition by 83-year-old local painter Lam Waitong at the Macao Government Tourism Office’s (MGTO) Ritz Building in Senado Square from 8-14 August. The exhibition is supported by the MGTO and will display over 30 Chinese paintings depicting flowers and various landscapes.
Lam began his painting journey at the age of 76, under the tutelage of local artist Xie Xianli. Although Lam showed interest in Chinese calligraphy and painting as a child, he did not have an opportunity to pursue his childhood dream until he found a painting course hosted by Xie seven years ago. “Age is just a number,” said the artist.
