Macau received the “Best Convention City (Asia)” award from the M&C Asia Stella Awards, an award honouring the very best of the MICE industry, with its winners selected by industry professionals, event organisers and other MICE industry practitioners. Organised by M&C Asia, a prestigious MICE magazine in Asia, the M&C Asia Stella Awards comprise 29 awards across six categories, such as Destination Management Company, Meeting Hotel and Convention Centre. Macau was crowned Asia’s best convention city because its MICE sector has made “concerted efforts to provide excellent conference experiences for event participants with outstanding environmental equipment and services”, according to Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM).
