The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) launched on Tuesday a free Macau-bound bus service programme for international tourists – from beyond the Greater China region – who arrive at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).

The tourism office is partnering with Hong Kong & Macao International Airport Transportation Service Company Limited (Macau HK Airport Direct) to offer a free direct bus tickets from HKIA’s restricted area to Macau for the tourists described above, aiming to attract more international visitors for an extended journey to Macau and, hence, expand international visitor markets, according to MGTO.

MGTO also partnered with the Hong Kong-Macau bus service operator in 2024 and 2025 to provide free bus tickets across the border. This year, the free bus ticket programme will run until 31 December.

Upon arrival at Hong Kong International Airport, eligible international visitors can complete the required formalities at the designated counter in the restricted area to obtain free one-way bus tickets for direct transfer from the SkyPier Terminal to Macau via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB).

The special offer is subject to terms and conditions set by the service operator and the actual supply of seats. Free tickets are available within the limited quota. More details can be found via this link. – GNM
