MPU STUDENT WINS 21ST PORTUGUESE SPEECH CONTEST

The Macau Polytechnic University (MPU) students won the champion and runner-up titles in the 21st Portuguese Speech Contest that was held at the University of Macau (UM) on 25 April. 

The contest aims to promote Portuguese language education and enhance university students’ Portuguese language skills. 

The contest’s champion, Zhang Hongyun, who is doing a bachelor’s degree programme in Chinese-Portuguese/Portuguese-Chinese Translation and Interpretation at MPU, said that the contest provided a stage for university students like herself to show their talents, while the runner-up, Gan Tianer from the bachelor’s degree programme in Portuguese Language, pointed out that the experience gained from joining the competition contributes to the participating university students’ career developments.
