An immersive art exhibition is currently displayed at One Central Macau mall in Nape in celebration of this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival (17 September) and the National Day of the People’s Republic of China (1 October).
Entitled “The 7th Macau Lantern Festival | Fly Me to the Moon Immersive Art Exhibition”, the art showcase kicked off on Thursday, with the opening ceremony featuring Hong Kong singer Joey Yung (pictured).
Supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the exhibition is held on One Central Macau’s ground floor and at the mall’s Waterfront Promenade until 31 October.
For this exhibition, One Central Macau has teamed up with internationally renowned Brooklyn artist and designer Jason Naylor, marking the first time an exhibition has brought together in Macau a traditional Chinese festival with graffiti art and AI technology.
Naylor’s “enchanting world of light and colour is brought to life with AI, exclusively crafted for the moon festival”, offering visitors a dazzling multisensory experience, according to the exhibition’s information page on One Central Macau’s official website.
The exhibition features four large-scale interactive art installations, standing both indoors and along the Waterfront Promenade.
In conjunction with the exhibition, the mall will offer a series of festive shopping rewards, including a time-limited rebate of up to 6.8 per cent, from 27 September to 13 October. For more information about the exhibition visit One Central Macau’s website. (Wong Kin Ang)
