Over 200 artefacts and contemporary artworks from more than 20 national and overseas cultural institutions are currently displayed in the exhibition “Silk Roads Beyond Borders” at the Poly MGM Museum.

This exhibition navigates the perennial history of the ancient Eurasian trade routes.

The exhibition is presented in four thematic chapters: “Through Sand and Wind” (tracing the footsteps of envoys and merchants across vast frontiers), “Gilded Threads” (showcasing exquisite treasures and Dragon-Patterned Throne Carpet that embody material culture and silk craftsmanship), “The Golden Bough” (revealing the spiritual transmission of Dunhuang art through reconstructed ancient instruments and digital murals), as well as “Road to the Future”, which features modern creations by masters such as Sanyu and Zao Wou-Ki, carrying the Silk Road spirit into the future, according to the information found on MGM’s Facebook page

The exhibition is open from 11 am to 7 pm on Monday to Friday and from 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday and public holidays, as well as from 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday. The museum is located on the second floor of MGM Macau in Nape (entrance via Grande Praça). Admission is free. For more information visit the Poly MGM Museum’s website
