The “WTT Champions Macao 2024” will be held at the Macao East Asian Games Dome in Cotai from 9-15 September, featuring 32 male and 32 female players, according to the Sports Bureau (ID).
This marks the fifth time since 2020 that Macau hosts a World Table Tennis (WTT) Series event, demonstrating WTT’s confidence in and recognition of Macau’s ability to organise major international events, the bureau pointed out.
Last year’s WTT Champions Macao was held in April.
As the first top table tennis competition after the Paris Olympics, WTT Champions Macao 2024 will prove to be another spectacular event and will create more frenzy among table tennis fans, which will further “polish up Macau’s ‘golden business card’ as an international metropolis” for sports, according to ID.
