In celebration of the world’s first “FIA FR World Cup” that was held at the 71st Macau Grand Prix last year, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the Automobile General Association of Macao-China have co-organised the “71st Macau Grand Prix – FIA FR World Champion Car & Racer Gear Exhibition, which kicked off at the Macao Grand Prix Museum on 8 June.
In addition, the exhibition aims to “pass on the motorsport culture and foster the integrated development of ‘tourism + sports’ … [as well as] showcase FIA FR World Cup as a unique iconic event in the motorsport world among residents and visitors, according to MGTO.
Meanwhile, the exhibits include the racing gear (helmet, outfit, gloves and shoes) of Ugo Ugochukwu, the champion of the first FIA FR World Cup at the Macau Grand Prix. These exhibits have been donated by Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). Ugochukwu’s champion car is also on display.
The museum is open from 10 am to 6 pm daily except on Tuesdays. The exhibition runs until 4 August. For more information visit the museum’s website. – GNM
