The University of Macau (UM) recently held its “2026 UM FST GBA T&E Career and Internship Fair” in the Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin (Cooperation Zone), providing a platform that connected local youths with technology and engineering enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Aimed at supporting Macau’s young people in integrating into the country’s overall development, the fair was jointly organised by UM, the Cooperation Zone’s Livelihood Affairs Bureau, University of Macau Advanced Research Institute in Hengqin, University of Macau Science & Education Development Institute in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, as well as Zhuhai Dahengqin Yingcai Human Resources Service Co. Ltd.
Focusing on the technology and engineering sectors, the event attracted 25 leading companies and offered more than 230 internship and job opportunities in cutting-edge fields, including artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, software development and network engineering, according to UM.
