A paediatrician in the United States, Dr. Christina B. Propst, has reportedly been fired for suggesting that the victims killed in the Texas flood were US President Donald Trump’s supporters who got “what they voted for” in her since-deleted Facebook post under her old Facebook username, Christ Tina, according to various US media reports.

“May all visitors, children, non-MAGA voters and pets be safe and dry,” Propst (pictured) posted recently. “Kerr County MAGA voted to gut FEMA. They deny climate change. May they get what they voted for. Bless their hearts.”

The Central Texas floods that took place from 4-7 July have claimed the lives of over 120 people – including dozens of kids – with around 170 still missing.

The paediatrician’s employer, Blue Fish Pediatrics, has since announced that she is no longer employed there, as reported by New York Post

“We strongly condemn the comments that were made in that post. That post does not reflect the values, standards, or mission of Blue Fish Pediatrics,” the employer underlined. – GNM
