The 1st Miss World winner Kerstin Margareta “Kiki” Håkansson of Sweden passed away in California, United States at the age of 95 on 4 November.
Håkansson was crowned Miss Sweden World in 1951, when she was a photo and fashion model. She won the Miss World 1951 pageant in London that same year – then the pageant was called “Festival Bikini Contest” and was part of the Festival of Britain.
