The 2024 MGM Macao International Regatta kicked off on Thursday and will run through tomorrow. The event is jointly organised by Macau’s Sports Bureau (ID), MGM and the Ursa Major Sailing Event Management, and co-organised by Macau’s Marine and Water Bureau, Macau Sailing Association, with the support from Zhuhai Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau. Reportedly, about 300 athletes – comprising 37 teams – from 28 countries and regions are participating in the event.
Meanwhile, a “Family Fun Day” event is taking place at the Kun Iam Statue Waterfront Recreation Area – Star on Coast in NAPE today and tomorrow, featuring sailing experiences, family workshops and live broadcasts of the races. Both residents and tourists can enter for free and participate in these activities.
