The 2026 FIA Karting Asia-Pacific Championship kicked off at the Coloane Karting Track yesterday.
Jointly organised by the Sports Bureau (ID) and the Automobile General Association Macao-China, the event runs until tomorrow, with karting drivers from 16 countries and regions.
The event features the junior and senior categories, with drivers competing in an “Arrive and Drive” format.
The Asia-Pacific Championship is one of three continental “Arrive and Drive” championships held this year, with the top finishers of this event qualifying for the FIA Karting “Arrive and Drive” World Cup that will be held in Malaysia in November, according to ID.
