The 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition has received nearly 950 applications and the event is set to be held at the University Hall (N2) of the University of Macau (UM), Escola Oficial de Seac Pai Van in Coloane and the Escola Secundária Luso-Chinesa de Luís Gonzaga Gomes in Macau from 24 July to 11 August, according to the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
The application period for the competition closed on 7 May.
Organised by IC, the 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition is dedicated to the categories of Chinese and Western instruments.
The provisional competition schedule will be available on the Macao Yung Musicians Competition’s website starting today.
