Macau’s Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) and Ocean Park Hong Kong signed a “Memorandum of Intent for Conservation Cooperation between Municipal Affairs Bureau of Macao and Ocean Park Hong Kong” at IAM Building in the city centre on Thursday.
The memorandum of understanding (MOU) aims to further strengthen the cooperative relation in conservation of giant pandas and wild animals in the two SARs, according to IAM.
The MOU was signed during a visit by Ocean Park’s representatives, including Ocean Park Corporation’s Chief Executive Ivan Wong and Head of Zoological Operations and Conservation Howard Chuk, who met with IAM Administration Committee on Municipal Affairs Chairman Chao Wai Ieng and member Tam Wai Fong.
Furthermore, the meeting signified the partnership between Ocean Park Hong Kong and IAM with a view to joining hands to promote the conservation work of the two places and protect the natural environment, according to the bureau.
