The city’s annual “hush! Beach Concerts” will be held at Coloane’s Hac Sa Beach, Barra District and other local communities from 11-19 October, and registration for the event’s short music video competition “hush! 30 Seconds” is now open, according to hush!’s organiser, Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
The “hush! 300 Seconds” competition provides an online platform for the public to showcase their musical talent and the diverse possibilities of music. All interested parties may submit a video of their music or vocal performance together with the application form, and will stand a chance to win various prizes.
In order to encourage participants to combine elements of music and sports, the best video with the strongest musicality and dynamics of the sports will be awarded the “Music in Sports Award”. Other awards such as the “Music Plus JAM Prize”, the “Creative Plus Fun Award”, the “Most Enthusiastic Award” and the “Participation Spirit Award” will be granted to videos based on their musicality, creativity, enthusiastic performance and participatory spirit, respectively.
Participants who have the highest popularity will receive the “Most Popular Award”.
These awards are sponsored by MGM, Air Macau, Tai Fung Bank, ICBC (Macau), Banco Nacional Ultramarino and OCBC Macau.
The competition regulations and application form can be obtained and downloaded from IC’s website. The submission of works is open until noon time on 8 October. The results will be announced on the Facebook page “HUSH FULL MUSIC” and the music event’s Instagram account on 14 October, with all the awards to be presented at the “hush! Beach Concerts” on 19 October.
