The 15th National Games officially came to an end on Friday and Macau’s Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai has congratulated the SAR’s athletes competing in the event for their achievements in the games.
Sam said he was delighted to learn that the Macau SAR’s delegation delivered outstanding performances in multiple events at the 15th National Games, achieving the best results in the history of Macau’s participation in the event, according to the city’s Government Information Bureau (GCS).
The outstanding achievements of the local sport delegation are the result of its athletes’ relentless determination, their ability to challenge themselves and years of rigorous training in a competitive setting, the chief executive has pointed out, adding that the local government will continue to support Macau athletes in their participation in major sporting events.
Meanwhile, Sam attended the closing ceremony (pictured) of the 15th National Games, which was held at Happy Theatre in Shenzhen’s Bao’an District in Guangdong Province on Friday. – GNM
