Macau’s Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai attended the opening ceremony of the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum in Shanghai earlier this week.
Following the opening ceremony, Sam (pictured) joined other guests in accompanying Premier of the State Council Li Qiang – who delivered a keynote address at the opening ceremony – on an inspection tour to the China Pavilion at the 8th CIIE.
At the Macau exhibition area within the China Pavilion, the chief executive briefed Li on the Macau exhibition content and gave a comprehensive update on the Macau SAR’s development, according to a press release issued by Macau’s Government Information Bureau (GCS).
Themed “diversified development with openness and inclusiveness”, the Macau exhibition area highlights the continuous enhancement of the efficacy of the Macau SAR’s governance, the steady advancement of Macau’s appropriate economic diversification, the SAR’s development progress as a high-quality platform for opening up, as well as the maintenance of Macau’s social harmony and stability, the bureau has pointed out.
The 8th CIIE runs for six consecutive days at Shanghai’s National Exhibition and Convention Center until tomorrow. More details on this news can be found via this link.
