The Art For All Society (AFA) has recently launched a new book by its president, well-established local artist Alice Kok, whose book tells the art group’s growth throughout the years.
Kok pointed out during the book’s launch event at Livraria Portuguesa that the “Mind to Mind: The Diverse Horizons of Macao Contemporary Art – A Selection of Curatorial Essays (2008-2025)” is not just a “textual record of 62 exhibitions” curated by her between 2008 and 2025.
It witnesses the growth of AFA from its humble beginnings with six members to what it is today and reflects the evolution of Macau’s contemporary art ecology from its early shoots to its current flourishing state, according to Kok.
Organised by AFA, the book’s publication was sponsored by the Macao Cultural Development Fund (FDC). The book is available for purchase at Livraria Portuguesa and selected bookstores. For more information visit AFA’s website or contact 6240 7788. – GNM
