After refusing to allow Israeli participation in a FIFA sporting event in Bali, the resort island’s governor, Wayan Koster, has again refused the participation of Israeli athletes in the upcoming World Beach Games, which is scheduled to take place from 5-12 August in the Indonesian island province, according to a report from The Jakarta Post.

However, Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg has reportedly dismissed Koster’s ban on Israeli participation in the World Beach Games, calling it simply a “noise in the media” as she expects Indonesia to stick to its agreement to allow all countries to compete, as reported by InsideTheGames.
