Forty-year-old singer-songwriter and vocal coach Tarryn Stokes has recently won the twelfth season of The Voice Australia, making her the show’s oldest winner since its launch in 2012 as she received a cash prize of A$100,000 and a record deal with Universal Music Australia.

Prior to joining this year’s The Voice Australia, during which she was mentored by Rita Ora, Stokes competed on the Australian version of All Together Now, placing second in the competition. She released a single, “Thunder”, in 2019.

Some of her fans also recognise her leading worship in a few music videos of Hillsong church, which has a page on its website that shows Stokes being part of the Hillsong Worship Team. “A key part of the Hillsong Worship team, Tarryn has been part of Hillsong Melbourne from the start, and is now one of the worship pastors there,” says the page.
