Malaysia has become the most-visited country in Southeast Asia in 2023, receiving 26.1 million foreign visitor arrivals between January and November this year, according to data collected from the tourism ministries of regional countries. Coming second on the list is Thailand with 24.6 million foreign visitor arrivals during the same period, while Singapore and Vietnam came third and fourth, respectively, each with 12.4 million and 11.2 million visitors. Other Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines have this year recorded less than 10 million foreign visitor arrivals, according to a report by VnExpress International.
