Winter World Masters Games 2024 kicked off in Lombardy, Italy on 11 January and will run through 21 January, with thousands of athletes, volunteers and enthusiasts participating in the sporting event that has adopted “sport for all ages and for life” as the values at its core. Organised with the support of the International Masters Games Association (IMGA), an organisation recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Winter World Masters Games is the world’s most important winter sports event reserved for athletes over the age of 30. This year’s even is the event’s fourth edition. The IMGA’s mission is to promote the “sport for all” philosophy of the Olympic Charter. (Wong Kin Ang)
