Portuguese pianist Vasco Dantas will be giving masterclasses on 14 and 15 March. Born in Porto in 1992, Dantas obtained his bachelor’s degree in music with 1st Class Distinction at the London Royal College of Music. He studied the piano with Dmitri Alexeev and Niel Immelman. He completed a master’s degree in performance and his doctoral study at the University of Münster.
Dantas is also artist director of the Music Series Festivals, including Algarve Music Series, Sezim Music Series and Piano Concerto Festival. He has been awarded over 50 prizes and distinctions in various international competitions, including the GianClaudio Chiais International Prize (Rome), Grand Prix at Valletta International Piano Competition (Malta) and Prix Special at Concours International de Piano SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem (Morocco).
The “Vasco Dantas Piano Masterclass” is organised by Macau Musical and Art Exchange Association (MMAEA). Fees range from MOP 100-1,680. For more information visit the MMAEA’s Facebook page.
