The International School of Macao (TIS) and the Rotary Club of Macao jointly held a charity concert, entitled “TIS X RCM Charity Concert 2024”, at The Parisian Theatre, The Parisian Macao recently, raising a donation of MOP 60,000 for the Macau Child Development Association (MCDA).
Sponsored by Sands Macao, the charity concert featured more than 150 TIS student musicians, seven ensembles and numerous soloists and 21 distinct performances, with about 300 people in the audience.
“At TIS, we believe in the transformative power of music and its importance in education,” said TIS Head Lorne Schmidt. “This event allowed us to showcase our students’ exceptional musical abilities while supporting a worthy cause.”
He added, “Music has the power to inspire, unite and create positive change in the community.” (Wong Kin Ang)
