US diva Beyoncé, known for her cross genres of R&B, hip hop and pop, on Friday released a highly anticipated country album, entitled “Cowboy Carter”, which Page Six’s Nicholas Hautman calls “the revival that country music so desperately needed”.
Experts and fans see the singer’s leap into country music as a homage to the legacy of Black Americans within the music genre, according to GMA News.
Beyoncé’s new album – her eighth studio album – features Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, as well as country music legends Linda Martell and Willie Nelson. It also includes a cover of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”.
