A total of 42 couples from San Remigio in the Philippine province of Antique will tie the knot in a mass wedding set to take place in Barangay Sumaray tomorrow, with Mayor Margarito Mission Jr. already confirming that the mass wedding will allow the couples to officially register their marriage.
The local government is reported to be preparing the wedding cakes, lunch and gifts for the couples, who come from barangays Panpanan I, Panpanan II, Sumaray, Lapak, Walker, Insubuan, Rizal, Orquia and Lumpatan. In addition, free medical consultations will be made available during tomorrow’s mass wedding.
Meanwhile, eight couples from Barangay Bugo, San Remigio also tied the knot in a mass wedding in February, according to a report by the Philippine News Agency.
