The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will hold a four-day “Experience Macao” roadshow at Central Park Mall in Jakarta, Indonesia from Thursday, the tourism office has announced.
The roadshow will be MGTO’s first mega promotional event in Indonesia, showcasing Macau’s diverse offerings in “tourism +”. Besides a fun interactive game zone, Macau’s tourism mascot MAK MAK will meet visitors for photo moments, according to the office.
Air Macau and Macau’s six integrated resort companies will run booths for a showcase of their tourism facilities, among other things. In addition, the local flag carrier as well as nine Indonesian travel agencies will present special offers on various tourism products to boost visitations from Indonesia to Macau.
Prior to the roadshow, the tourism office will also hold “Macao Tourism + MICE Product Updates Seminar & Travel Mart” at Pullman Jakarta Central Park in Jakarta on Wednesday, during which Indonesian travel trade representatives will be introduced to Macau’s latest tourism and MICE trends, followed by a networking session with their Macau counterparts to forge partnerships and uncover market potential together for an increase in mutual visitor arrivals.
Visitors to the two events, including travel trade representatives, will be given a “clearer picture of Macau as a fascinating destination”, while Macau and Indonesia tourism businesses connect and build collaboration, propelling the SAR’s reach of international markets, according to MGTO.
Meanwhile, MGTO hosted a mega Macao Pavilion to promote Macau as an ideal destination at the ASTINDO Travel Fair organised by the Indonesian Travel Agents Association (ASTINDO) in Indonesia back in September 2023 as well as in March 2024.
Last November, Air Macau launched direct flights between Macau and Jakarta. (Wong Kin Ang)
