The Greater Bay Area World Schools Debating Championships (GBA WSDC) 2024 will be held at the University of Macau (UM) from 8-10 June. The event is organised by the Macau English Debating Association (MEDA) and co-organised by the UM.
The GBA WSDC 2024 is a platform for fostering intellectual discourse, cultural exchange and lifelong friendships, according to MEDA. The event will feature 50 teams competing in the World Schools Debating Championship format, with prestigious prizes and accolades up for grabs, which will also give the participants the opportunities to network with top debaters in the world, said the organisers.
The deadline for Phase 1 Local Team Registration is tomorrow at noon. Registration fees are MOP 1,120 for “debater” and MOP 800 for “observer” (coaches, team managers, parents, supporters attending the GBA WSDC 2024 who are not contributing actively as a judge or volunteer are considered “observers”).
Registration form and the event’s details can be obtained via this link. For more information visit MEDA’s or the GBA WSDC 2024’s website. (Gilbert Humphrey)
