Application period for the “2024 Film Arts Training Programme jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and Wynn Macau is open from today through 26 June, IC has announced.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate or above, as well as hold a Macau permanent resident ID card.
Selected candidates will be taught by veteran Hong Kong film art director Lui Cho Hung to deepen their knowledge of film arts and will have the opportunity to be engaged in film production. They will receive more than 60 hours of professional guidance over 12 days held from July to September to enhance their basic knowledge and application of film arts.
Lui has been involved in many film productions, including “Infernal Affairs II” and “Infernal Affairs III”. In addition, he received the “Best Art Direction” award at the 23rd and 41st Hong Kong Film Awards for “The Twins Effect” and “Where the Wind Blows”, respectively.
At the end of the programme, the candidates will work in groups to produce a short film, which will be evaluated by the instructors based on its art direction. The winning group of the “Best Art Direction” award will receive a certificate and a prize money in the amount of MOP 50,000.
