Several Macau government websites were hacked on Wednesday evening, including the Office of the Secretary for Security, Public Security Police and the Fire Services Bureau, among others. Five of the websites were shut down for about 45 minutes, according to various media reports. Local authorities have meanwhile launched an investigation to trace the source of the cyberattack, which is believed to be from overseas.
