Macau comic artist and illustrator Aya Lei will showcase her work in an exhibition, entitled “Unique-Verse”, at the Creative Macau gallery in Nape from 20 July to 17 August.
“Universe, which means time and space in the Chinese concept, is a world. If my life is limited, I hope I can make it more joyful with my family, which can bring me the unique ideas with fun and delight,” Lei said.
Some of the artist’s artworks in this exhibition merge her daughter’s drawing which show her “interesting possibilities”. Lei added, “It really inspires my creations.”
Lei is a self-taught artist with many years of experience and great passion for drawing. She has also been involved in graphic design and painting, as well as published some comic books. In addition, her works have been displayed in various local and overseas exhibitions.
Located in the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM) complex, the Creative Macau gallery is open from 2-7 pm every Monday to Saturday. For more information visit the gallery’s official website. (Wong Kin Ang)
