The exhibition “Treasure of Ancient Books – Exhibition of Chen Zibao and Macau Civilian Education” will be held at the Kent Wong Exhibition Gallery at the University of Saint Joseph’s (USJ) Ilha Verde campus from 24 October to 18 November.
Last year marked the 100th anniversary of the death of famous civilian educator Chen Zibao. The exhibition is held to commemorate his outstanding contributions to modern education, especially in promoting women’s and children’s education, education system reform and the Vernacular Language Movement.
The exhibition is co-organised by USJ and the Macao Institute of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Relics (MICRCR). It will be open form 9 am to 10 pm, Monday to Friday. For more information visit USJ’s website.
